It was is 1987 when Ed Hoffman decided to follow in his mother’s footsteps and chose her passion of food and creative design of parties. He had just graduated the finest school in the county, if not the world, training leaders in the food service industry.
The Culinary Institute of Arts In Hyde Park, New York.
Ed discovered his talents while attending the CIA and brought his skills back to Baltimore, and in 1997 he took over the J. Leonard Schleider’s Kosher Catering Company .
The very first event he catered was the White House. It was not the first visit to the White House nor was it the last.
The kosher catering world afforded Ed and his team with some wonderful experiences.
Multiple visits to the Israel Embassy, a private birthday party at the Israeli Ambassador’s home. And who would ever imagine a kosher catering company being hired by the Catholic Arch Bishop to cater a dinner party in his home.
Today, Hoffman & Company is recognized as the market leader for excellence in the Baltimore, Washington metropolitan area.
At the core of its success is a passionate commitment to perfection. Ed recognized early on that his business was only as successful as his last event.
With this focus as a cornerstone, Hoffman & Company pushes the boundaries of what is possible, creating a unique synergy resulting in extraordinary guest experiences.
